Greg (aka *Obi-Rum Kenobi*) hails from Kansas City, where his love for the Chiefs, BBQ, and all things science fiction runs deep. Greg has spent almost 30 years in the entertainment world, contributing his talents to the magic of theme parks, film, and TV. Whether it's designing immersive attractions or geeking out over the latest sci-fi flick, Greg brings a unique blend of creativity, passion, and a deep love of rum to everything he does. When he's not talking nerdy, you can bet he's either grilling up some ribs or celebrating the latest Chiefs victory with a cold drink in hand.
Garrick, on the other hand, grew up in Milwaukee, where his heart beats for the Packers, his mind races with all things *Doctor Who*, and his garage is a sanctuary for classic cars. But Garrick's true superpower lies in his uncanny ability to pick the perfect song for any moment—he’s a master of *Nerd Fusion*, effortlessly blending his favorite nerdy tunes into an eclectic soundtrack for life. With a sharp ear for music and a passion for storytelling, Garrick brings a creative energy to every episode, weaving pop culture references and music magic into the conversation like only he can. Whether he's debating the finer points of the *Doctor Who* timeline or curating the ultimate playlist for a road trip, Garrick’s always got something unexpected up his sleeve—making him the perfect co-host to join Greg for their one-of-a-kind, rum-fueled adventures.

Meet "the voice" of Rum & Nerdy. Greg and Garrick question whether I am actually a nerd because I have never seen a single Star Wars movie. But I love to nerd out with music trivia. From rock and metal to jazz and songwriters, I will choose to drink in the sweet sounds of live music over a night at the movie theater. Did I say "drink"? While our hosts have been teaching me the finer aspects of real rum, I usually prefer tequila and mezcal. While I can't reliably hang a shelf, I can easily build a computer or wire up a surround sound system. Hey, you got your HDMI in my USB port!
Tyler Grace
(aka *Padi-Rum*)
The intern
Tyler is a recent college grad, future theme park mogul, and the unofficial spreadsheet sorcerer of Rum and Nerdy. We met Tyler at a TEA event and adopted her, realizing she was one of us. Her mom came into the picture later—and yes, we eventually adopted her too. Tyler doesn’t drink much, but she logs every bottle, every note, and every questionable decision Greg and Garrick make—usually in real time. Equal parts sharp, sweet, and methodically caffeinated, she brings order to the chaos, sarcasm to the nonsense, and just enough lemon-lime energy to keep things bubbly.

Let’s get one thing straight – I’m the one on the right. The one on the left doesn’t play video games. He plays video messages vital to the survival of the rebellion and probably still uses dial-up.
Me? I recite the Konami Code every night before bed and I know more NPCs than actual humans. My favorite exercise is sprinting from a Deathclaw while over-encumbered. And I'm well on my way to becoming the old man in a cave who hands out wooden swords.
Best advice? Do all the side quests, and save often!
